‘extraordinary’ Mini-Atomiade on 14-17 June 2024

Dear ASCERI Delegates,

given that nothing has been scheduled by ASCERI for next year, JRC Ispra has decided to organise an ‘extraordinary’ Mini-Atomiade on 14-17 June 2024, as a low burden, low cost and low stress sport kermesse, based on our own facilities (our Club House) and our services (our Cantine).

Concerned sports/activities shall be:

Tennis (*)
Table Tennis (**)
 Badminton (*)
Beach Volley
Petanque (*)
Chess (*)
5-a-side soccer for women (*)
Trail Running (*)

Hiking (****)

The sports have been selected on the basis of presence of dedicated facility at our club house (*), nearby solution (**) or easy connection (***), or for opportunity (****) The number of estimated participants allows the possibility to have all in a single hotel, Unahotel @ Varese,  reducing significantly the shuttles required. I have intentionally excluded the ‘major’ sports (football, volley, cycling, golf) to minimise the organisational burden.

Within 2 weeks will will distribute a more descriptive and detailed document.

The overall cost shall be:

Hotel € 210 (3 nights, breakfast included) +

Fee € 170 (organisation & food)

Very important deadlines are:

30 September for receiving from Institutes the estimated number of participants for discipline, to quantify the total number of participants (for the hotel booking) and the sport to be maintained/excluded.

30 October for receiving the pre-registration fee (50€).
